About Me
I have been a nurse for 14 years with experience in emergency medicine, pediatrics, neonatology and home health care. I currently hold a master's degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neonatology. A Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a master's or doctorally prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse whose function is to improve outcomes of patient care. The CNS influences care delivery in 3 spheres of practice: Patient Care, Nursing, and Systems Spheres. The CNS influences care through 5 sub roles: Expert in Clinical Practice, Leader-Change Agent, Educator, Consultant, and Researcher.
